One of my WORST phobias is bugs. I know most people don't like them, but for me, its a phobia. Sometimes I can't sleep. Crazy, right? A tad. Well, we have a bug problem in the apartment and I have lost, LOST, my mind. Breathe. I have done nothing but clean since the exterminator came so I haven't been online at all. I'm back-a little :). I miss posting and Glamour blogs. There's SO much to discuss. First, the unavoidable.
I still can't believe Paris is in jail. I have already posted that I think its totally extreme but now I'm just sad for her. I know, I know, its only 24 days but jail is jail and I would FREAK out. Did anyone watch the MTV Movie Awards? What Sarah Silverman said was so rude and insensitive. I get that she is supposed to be a comedienne and they can be rude but she totally kicked her when she was already down. If you didn't see it, she said something like, "To make Paris more comfortable in jail, they painted the bars to look like penis'. I'm just concerned she will crack a tooth." It makes me nauseated. I don't get why everyone thinks she's this crazy whore anyway? So she had a sex tape. Some horrible, gross, guy leaked it but no one cares about that. Drives me crazy!
Did you watch the Democratic Debates? What did you think?
I think Obama did a good job but I think he showed a lack of confidence. I very much enjoy this quote, (not from the Debates)
"Too often, the issue of LGBT rights is exploited by those seeking to divide us. But at its core, this issue is about who we are as Americans. It's about whether this nation is going to live up to its founding promise of equality by treating all its citizens with dignity and respect."
"It's time to turn the page on the bitterness and bigotry that fill so much of today's LGBT rights debate. The rights of all Americans should be protected -- whether it's at work or anyplace else. "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" needs to be repealed because patriotism and a sense of duty should be the key tests for military service, not sexual orientation. Civil unions should give gay couples full rights. And those who commit hate crimes should be punished no matter whether those crimes are committed on account of race, religion, gender identity, or sexual orientation."
"This Pride Month, let's make our founding promise of equality a reality for every American."
My main problem with him is his somewhat lack of experience and lack of money raised. Seeing who raised what kind of money is important to see what kind of backing they have. We NEED a democrat pres so its more important to me that one wins, like it or not.
Hillary disappointed me. I actually sent an email to her camp. I disliked that she defended what Edwards called, Bush's "Bumper Sticker" agenda. Edwards is SO right and I was sad that she defended it. Still, she's winning in the race by a landslide.
Round 2 goes to Edwards. He was cute, funny, and real. His honest apology for voting for the war touched me. He praised Obama for being against the war before he was. That showed a lot of courage. He also seemed very intelligent on Iran and extremely confident.
The other guys did fine but, let's be honest here, they aren't REALLY in the race. OK, feedback ladies and gentlemen!
