I'm Back/Emmy Awards 2010

I'm so sorry I haven't been blogging! I have emails from you guys being like, where did you go? My life just got so busy that the posts I did write felt forced and lame. I suck. The good news is that there are good things happening! The up-and-down family stuff is currently swinging up, and I have an awesome internship! It's with Footwear News, a Conde Nast trade publication, and I'm having a blast. They are letting me work on so many projects and I'm learning a ton. Everyone is crazy nice and helpful. It's a great work environment and I'm thankful to be there. I'm working on the legwear issue so stay tuned!

What better way to start blogging again than a Red Carpet?! I'm a bit obsessed with them. Here are my favorite looks. Am I missing anyone that you loved? What do you think of my choices?

Betty White! 88 has never looked so good.

I usually hate white on the red carpet but Rose Bryne looks like a goddess in Gucci.

I LOVE Jayma Mays hair and navy Burberry dress.

January Jones might be the DULLEST person on TV (and on my favorite show) but she is the best dressed person, maybe ever. I'm obsessed with everything about the Versace dress and undone hair.

Best dressed Glee!! This Carolina Herrera dress is beautiful. Lace is so fashion forward.

Tami Taylor, aka Connie Britton, UNFORTUNATELY lost the Emmy but she won in Burberry.

E!'s Fashion Police could not be more wrong picking Anna Paquin as worst dressed. What are they thinking? This McQueen dress is fab and she looks amazing in it. And of course, Vampire Bill looks handsome as ever.

I love The Good Wife and this picture just makes me happy. Go Archie Panjabi!

I'm not a sequin girl but Heather Morris in Ina Soltani is probably my best dressed pick. The black sash makes it perfect! And the hair and make-up: sigh. Love.

Is there anything Zac Posen does that I don't like? Christina Hendricks kills it again. The cut on this is ridiculous. In a good way. I know the sleeves are a little weird but I forgive her for such a perfect fit.

Poor Elizabeth Moss. No matter how fierce her dress is, and this Donna Karen is, her Peggy Olsen hair follows her everywhere.

LOVE this couple and Emily Blunt's Dior dress.

This makes me happy for two reasons: 1. Vintage lace from the Way We Wore. Awesome. 2. Maura Tienry is kicking cancer's ass.

2010 Emmy Nominations!!

One of my favorite 2009 dresses above!! I get so excited about award shows you would think I was expecting to be nominated.

Lead Actor in a Comedy Series:
The Big Bang Theory-Jim Parsons
Curb Your Enthusiasm-Larry David
Glee-Matthew Morrison
Monk-Tony Shalhoub
The Office-Steve Carell
30 Rock-Alec Baldwin

I'm always disappointed by this category. I know 30 Rock is popular but I hate Alec. He better not win. Monk is hysterical but he wins everything. I love Glee, but I'd like to see Jim Parsons take this.

Lead Actor in a Drama Series:
Breaking Bad-Bryan Cranston
Dexter-Michael C. Hall
Friday Night Lights-Kyle Chandler
House-Hugh Laurie
Lost-Matthew Fox
Mad Men-Jon Hamm

AHHHHHH!!!!!! Kyle Chandler!! So excited and so overdue.

Lead Actress in a Comedy Series:
Glee-Lea Michele
Old Christine-Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Nurse Jackie-Edie Falco
Parks and Rec-Amy Poehler
30 Rock-Tina Fey
United States of Tara-Toni Collette

I really have no crazy opinion on these. I think they're all great but I'd like to see Julia take it. Her show got canceled!

Lead Actress in a Drama Series:
The Closer-Kyra Sedgwick
Damages-Glenn Close
Friday Night Lights-Connie Britton
The Good Wife-Julianna Margulies
Law and Order SVU-Mariska Hargitay
Mad Men-January Jones

I'm trying not to virtual scream in all caps again. OMG Connie Britton!!!!!!! So excited. She has to win.

Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series:
Glee-Chris Colfer
How I Met Your Mother-NPH
Modern Family-Jesse Tyler Ferguson
Modern Family-Eric Stonestreet
Modern Family-Ty Burrell
Two and a Half Men-Jon Cryer

Seriously, could this be a bigger category?? Wow. How do you chose from this amazing group? (well, except Jon Cryer) I adore Chris Colfer but who makes me laugh more than Ty Burrell? It has to be him or Eric Stonestreet.

Supporting Actor in a Drama Series:
Breaking Bad-Aaron Paul
Damages-Martin Short
Lost-Terry O'Quinn
Lost-Michael Emerson
Mad Men-John Slattery
Men of a Certain Age-Andre Braugher

I don't even want to talk about this category. SO lame that none of the crazy talented boys from Friday Night Lights got noticed.

Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series:
Glee-Jane Lynch
Modern Family-Julie Bowen
Modern Family- Sofia Vergara
SNL-Kristen Wiig
30 Rock-Jane Krakowski
Two and a Half Men-Holland Taylor

This is though too. Jane Lynch is awesome. But both Modern Fam girls make me laugh until I'm crying.

Supporting Actress in a Drama Series:
Burn Notice-Sharon Gless
Damages-Rose Byrne
The Good Wife-Archie Panjabi
The Good Wife-Christine Baranski
Mad Men-Christina Hendricks
Mad Men-Elisabeth Moss

Who do you like? I think I have to go with Elisabeth Moss.

Guest Actor in a Comedy Series:
Glee-Mike O'Malley
Glee-Neil Patrick Harris
Modern Family-Fred Willard
Nurse Jackie-Eli Wallach
30 Rock-Jon Hamm
30 Rock-Will Arnett

Mike O'Malley should take this for sure. He was so believable as Kurt's dad and he made me cry more than once! That speech to Finn? Wonderful.

Guest Actor in a Drama Series:
The Closer-Beau Bridges
Damages-Ted Danson
Dexter-John Lithgow
The Good Wife-Alan Cumming
The Good Wife-Dylan Baker
Mad Men-Robert Morse
24-Gregory Itzin

I love Alan Cumming on Ted Danson!

Guest Actress in a Comedy Series:
The Big Bang Theory- Christine Baranski
Desperate Housewives-Kathryn Joosten
Glee-Kristin Chenoweth
SNL-Tina Fey
SNL-Betty White
30 Rock-Elaine Stritch
Two and a Half Men-Jane Lynch

I'd be happy with any of them!

Guest Actress in a Drama Series:
Big Love-Mary Kay Place
Big Love-Sissy Spacek
The Cleaner-Shirley Jones
Damages-Lily Tomlin
L&O SVU-Ann-Margret
Lost-Elizabeth Mitchell

I have only seen Damages in this category! I guess I missed a lot in the drama department.

More to come! Who are you happy with? Who are your dream winners? I'm excited to see what people will wear!
