I get chills from an amazing bag, coat, or pair of shoes but never from a wedding dress. Until now. I NEED this Vera Wang dress. It's perfect- exactly what I want for my wedding. Now, I just need to find someone to marry.

I haven't though much of Valentine's Day. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan when I am in a relationship and now that I'm single, I was extra not-interested. Now, I have an invite to Fashion Week, the Araks show, and my friend Lillias White's midnight concert. Now, I have excuse to buy a new dress! It's going to be a blast. Maybe I'll even meet a straight guy? Help me pick a dress!

Dating Diary Chapter 3: Greg

I hope you guys had a great weekend. Its scary when you don't even remember what you did. That's what happens when you work through it! I wanted to keep you updated on the whole online dating thing. I took some great advice (thanks!) and didn't bother emailing anyone I "graded" lower than a 7.

The one that scored the highest was Greg (the vegan). I sent him a short-and-sweet email back (I tend to go on..and on) and we have been emailing every other day since. So far, he hasn't said anything that made me cringe, i.e.. "aiight." He's actually been really sweet and funny. About the 4th email, he mentioned his ex so I think that's actually a good sign. It makes me feel like we are getting past small talk. He has also mentioned a band that he is seeing at this bar in my old neighborhood so I'm sensing a possible date, which is awesome but horrifying also. I'm going to seriously need your help when that time comes!

At least I will have some stuff to wear. I bought so much of Sarah Jessica Parker's "Bitten" line. It is all soooo cute! The prices make H&M look expensive and the quality is even better. RUN to Steve and Barry's! I'll post pictures as soon as I can. :)

Dating Diary Chapter 1: The Profile

Couldn't look less like me..

As a serial monogamous, I really have no idea how to date. I don't know if I have ever been out on a date with a stranger. Hmm..the only one I can think of was the start of my last long relationship and that was on Drag Queen Bingo Night. I'm talking about the kind of date that involves a fancy restaurant with food I don't really want to eat and awkward small talk. Ugh. I do, however, think that it is important to date lots of people, even just to meet and become friends. That being said, it sucks. If I didn't care, I would sit home, order pizza, and watch episode after episode of 24. I will never meet anyone like that! My dream of locking eyes with a cute 20 to 30-something while ordering a sugar-free vanilla soy Chai is slowly vanishing.

To make a long story short, I joined a liberal dating website. (I thought about what was MOST important to me, and similar morals are it-IE no Bush lovers!) It is so scary because these people are total strangers! Even if I follow all of the rules, like going out in a public place, how do I know when it is safe to be alone? How I know when this person is safe at all? Do these things REALLY work?

OK, I am getting ahead of myself. First, I made a profile. Here are some things I included (that are honest):

1. I love to read and write.
2. I am 5'4."
3. I live in NYC.
4. I am a Libra.
5. I am a vegetarian.
6. I go to school.

Here are some things I didn't say (but are honest):

1. I can take 3 hours to get ready.
2. Although I love to read, I mostly read chic lit, crime novels, or Glamour.
