What I Want: Kate Spade Sale
It's hard not to spend some serious money this time of year with all the end-of-season sales inside warm inviting stores. Even at home in my bed I'm not safe from major bargains. Currently, I'm obsessing over everything Kate Spade. Have you scored any winter deals?
Unfortunately, these adorable flats are all sold out in my size. Get them if you're a 6.5!

I HAVE TO HAVE THIS HAT! I've seriously wanted it since the beginning of the season. $52 is still a bit much for me to spend on a hat right now. But I still want it.

This dress will look equally chic with black tights and a blazer. Love.

Warm and cute? I don't even care that I'll look like a marshmallow.

A Kate Spade bag that will go with everything for under $200? Sign me up! Love the bow.

These plates will turn my Ikea folding table into a classy place to dine.

Revisiting Spring '11: Part 4
Confession: I don't pull off rocker-chic all that well. My hourglass shape craves lady-like clothing and my eye tends to go for florals and volume (a bit of a man repeller combo.)

This look from the Burberry Prorsum Spring '11 RTW show might pull me out of my pretty-rut. Christopher Bailey manages to reinvent the trench, again, with a collection that's a little Olivia Newton John and a little Emma Watson. Who wouldn't want to be that combination?

Revisiting Spring '11: Part 2
Yesterday we explored brights with neutrals thanks to Fendi's Spring RTW show. Today, I'm obsessing over 3.1 Phillip Lim's sporty/sexy collection. No actual sports activity required, I promise.

The pants are an amazing alternative to denim made extra-sporty with a contrasting racing stripe. This is definitely something everyone can wear-with a cami underneath to keep the look decidedly nipple-free.
(Or see my FN article for scoop on flatforms!)
(Add stripes for a cool DIY project.)

Revisiting Spring '11
While in October we lusted after the Spring RTW runway shows, now that bright and sunny clothes are actually in stores, the looks become even more lust-worthy. Here are some I think are worth a second look with pieces to create the the perfect ensemble, because spring is only 59 days away.

Fendi
I'm obsessed with the combo of brights and neutrals in the Fendi show. This look caught my eye because of my American Apparel long, tan skirt that sometimes I have no idea what to do with. I usually pair it with black but a bright top is so much more chic.

Are You Slight, Demi, or Bold?

Even when I was a size 0 (ahem, a while ago) jeans were annoying to shop for. No matter what my size, I always have wider hips so trying to find denim that hugs my curves without the dreaded gap is a challenge. I recently saw the Levi's ad: "All Asses Were Not Created Equal." Amazing. They have not one "curvy" size (a la the Gap) but THREE: Slight Curve is for girls with narrower hips and a flat butt; Demi Curve has a more balanced proportion;
Bold Curve (me!) is for girls with a very defined hip, waist, and butt. The best part? They are higher in the back to prevent gaping (and butt-cracking.) In 5 washes and prices below $70, I'll definitely be forgoing my dresses this fall-at least for one day a week.

Tie-Dye: Do or Don't?
I get on these weird obsessive kicks about things. Like, for example, I wanted dark jeggings and it's all I could see. I went to Zara before work, Forever 21 at 10 PM after work. Must. Find. Them. Sometimes I find the perfect thing, but usually I either settle or the obsession weans. Right now, I'm wanting everything tie-dye.

Nicky Hilton is a Gypsy Zipper Skirt: On Sale!

Kate Bosworth loves her tie-dye!

I love this dress. It really suits her.

Fancy tie-dye? Jessica Biel in Oscar de la Renta

The colors of this Lotta Stensson tank feel new.

I'd buy this under $20 Forever 21 top to try the trend without spending a whole paycheck.

These Charley 5.0 Skinny Leggings are everywhere. I think Ri pulls them off!
Are you as big of a tie-dye fan? Or should it stay at the beach?

Dolce Vita on the Cheap

I thought about trekking up to the new East Harlem Target to score some shoes from the Dolce Vita line "exclusively" to that location, for about 3 minutes. Considering I can walk to the Brooklyn one, I figured I'd just wait until August when they come out everywhere. Well, now we don't have to wait. The shoes are already available online. As soon as I get paid Wednesday, I'm getting the silver flats above and the boots below. What do you think of the line? Are you buying any of it?

Love this Store: Lanvin

While my obsession for everything Lanvin is growing, my bank account is not. I LOVE everything Alber Elbaz (above) touches, which is a problem when you're on a Forever 21 budget. Now I can at least pretend that I can afford it in the new Upper East Side Lanvin location.

Look at the rows of shoes!

There are FIVE beautiful floors.

They even have bridal! Wow.

Everyone from Rachel Bilson to Michelle O love Lanvin!

My wish list (in case you and AmEx are going):

On sale! $300

$585

$1, 095

$840

$680

$3, 990.00

$2100.00

Priceless.
