The Crazy and Crazier: The Grammy Men

Instead of doing my own post about men's fashion at the Grammys, I'm going to refer you to to a friend who knows a thing or two about boys...and their clothes. Love this. Love him.

Vera Wang is the Queen

Caitlin is engaged! I'm so happy for her. I'm not sure if I want to get married, at least until everyone can, but I do know my where and wear! Celeb relationships bore me to death but their weddings are spectacular. This weekend was all about Chelsea Clinton and Alicia Keys.

This picture makes me smile.

Gorge!! My only complaint? WAY too much make-up.

Chelsea and Marc Mezvinsky had the most beautiful wedding. Her dress is Vera Wang and I love it, don't you? That waist-sash makes her body look amazing.

The pre-wedding party: don't you think this is the best Hillary has looked? AND the look on Bill's face? So heartwarming.

I'm a big fan of the back of dresses. Alicia's Vera Wang dress is stunning on her and I love that you can see the baby bump!

Vera is a genius because she's able to create 2 different dresses that seem to match their personalities. This one is SO Alicia.

So cute! Swizz Beatz is A+ in Tom Ford.

Who's your favorite celeb wedding?

Season's Resolutions: Blouses

*pic via The Sartorialist*

People always ask me around my birthday (in September) what my goals for the year are. I hate it; it stresses me out. I'd must rather someone ask me what my sartorial goals for the next season are. I have many. The first one? Wear more blouses. My friend and coworker Caitlin and I are going to work on this together. Our big busts and smaller waists are craving a Mad Men-esque blouse. Style.com says this from Miu Miu is the blouse of the season.

As amazing as it is, at $600 it's a little out of my budget. Here are some other options!

The Last Boy

Since I work Saturdays, Mondays are my Sundays. Sorry, I didn't mean for that to be so much of a mouthful. Josh and I got up early to see The Last Song at 10:30 at Lincoln Center. I rarely see movies so far uptown but we had to get the $6 early bird special. I like Miley and I read the book but the movie was still pretty bad. It's not supposed to be a comedy, right? OK, not BAD but not great either, not that I was expecting much. It's not like Nicholas Sparks is a genius screenplay writer. The best part of the movie? Miley's real life bf, the delish, Aussie Liam Hemsworth. He's not really my type with that whole surfer thing going on but the boy can seriously clean up.

Maybe boys really dress like this in Cali. I HATE his shorts. (And why are the girls wearing the same lame outfit?)

The basketball shorts again! Gag me.

Better...

Um, you're welcome.

He's so cute but a sleeveless plaid button up?

Once again, better.

A. MA. ZING.

(Sigh. )

Can you believe he's 20?! He could become a big star if he choses his next roles wisely. What could you seem him doing? Other than...nevermind.

Watch Out.

How cute are these NYLON ads? Why don't more people wear watches? I think maybe they will be my new thing. My BFF M and I were talking about how cute they can be and I found some really fun ones. I have a great "timeless" one, but who says you can't have a different one for every day? Would you wear more than one together??
I love this Betsey Johnson. It's perfect if you don't love the look of a watch.

A sexy Diesel guy's watch for him OR you.

SO chic if you can drop the $$ on Hermes.

$20 at Urban Outfitters! Too cute.

Swatch is the best if you want to try the trend above and wear a million. They have every color of the rainbow and are about $50. It's the perfect way to incorporate the sporty trend for spring. I also love the look of a big, men's watch on a girl. Look on Ebay for a vintage one!

Score!!!

It is SO gorgeous here in NYC today so my new friend Victoria and I lunched at Pillow Cafe, in our 'hood of Clinton Hill, and did some bargain shopping. I asked V to write about her amazing finds. She has SUCH a good eye! The food at the cafe was delish, as was the Charlotta Janssen artwork. Love!

Hi! My name is Victoria and I recently met Liz at a fashion writing class we are both taking this semester. We happen to live 2 blocks away from each other in Brooklyn, so after class we go home together and chat. Since becoming friends we have learned that we have so much in common, like the fact that we both love Marshalls. I have been a Fashion Director for 10 years. I have worked for various magazines such as; Latina Magazine, InStyle and just two weeks ago I started at Real Simple magazine. Designer clothing and accessories constantly surround me. I love them but can't always afford to buy them. Even though as an editor we have a few perks (discounts, private sample sales, etc.,) there is nothing like a good bargain hunt!

A few weeks ago Liz posted on her blog about a recent trip to Marshalls on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. I have been many times, but never found good stuff in this Brooklyn store. Inspired by Liz’s blog on Prada shoes and Michael Kors bags, I decided to go to Marshalls and check it out. I SCORED big time!

I got these PRADA black suede sandals with gold studs and a cone heel. They are surprisingly comfy too! When I go shopping I like to purchase things that I can wear throughout the seasons. These sandals I would wear with black opaque tights for the Fall/ Winter season, making these shoes a great all year round clever investment. They retail originally for over $700 but at Marshalls they were $329.99. When I got to the register I noticed there was a slight imperfection on the lining (almost nothing.) I commented “Oh, but they are a bit damaged…” The guy in the register proceeded to give me 10% discount! So they came out to $296.99! You can’t beat that price for PRADA.

The FRYE open toe ankle booties have a hidden platform that acts like a hybrid, making it easier to be in heels all day long. Also they have a rubbery sole, so I don’t slip. I love the color; the intense blue combined with the dark wood stack heel is so chic and cool. You can almost treat them like a neutral color. They would look great with black, grey, beige, white, orange, yellow, red, Kelly green, etc. They were only $79.99. I just had to get them. Can’t wait to wear them tomorrow for work!
