wow

This woman I know wrote this awesome piece in the NY Times about fake goods and talked about me! Its so flattering but also kind of embarrassing because I admitted to buying knock offs. I don't know..what do you guys think? Do you buy fake bags sometimes? I love fashion and do appreciate the designer but at $3000 for a bag-do they really expect not to have fake ones floating around? She's a great writer. Check it out :)

Running with Sneakers

I should be picking one of these.....but I'd rather be wearing those!
Think of the least athletic person you know. I'm worse than that. But I'm trying. I'm going to the gym almost every day and although I'm not exactly running I need some serious runner's sneakers for many of my aerobic classes and to help some of my hip issues. I just have a few problems: 1. My feet are small, size 5 at the biggest. Lady Footlocker doesn't even carry shoes that small. 2. They are ugly. I just don't like sneakers.

I know my fellow fashionistas out there have some cute sneaks they work out in! Let me know!

I can't stand it.

How cute is this???

Awesome new mag alert!

A cover from a few issues ago.

I read so many magazines that they can at times get a little repetitive so when a new one grabs my attention I get excited about it. Blueprint, from the Martha Stewart clan, is not so much unlike Domino. It has great decorating ideas and tips from pros. What I am loving about Blueprint is all of the inexpensive DIY stuff that looks like I might actually be able to DIM. There are step by step instructions including places to buy each piece. My favorite thing? The faux headboard that is made out of wallpaper is just so cute. You can even download the template on the website! I also love the cover of the mag. I really believe that there has to be a great cover to attract people to pick it up and read it. Some of my most favorite publications ever, like Jane, are always so good inside but the cover is either totally boring or just not a good representation of the content. Blueprint has a pretty blue color scheme with big lettering and not too much else. The girl laying on the bed has the most enviable auburn hair color and the cutest outfit. The room that she is laying in has such cool things that I had to know how I can get them myself. What I don't like so much is that there are only 6 issues a year (Come on, Martha. You can do better than that!) and the beauty tips are a little obvious. (Messy bun in the summer, anyone?) Any other new publications that I must read?

Congrats to Obama but...

Forty-eight percent of Democratic primary voters say they'd like to see Clinton as the party's nominee, followed by 24 percent for Obama and 11 percent for Edwards (according to CBS and NBC.) She is also endorsed by just about every minority in this country.

"I've seen how Hillary Clinton's experience, commitment, and leadership have made a difference for the LGBT community," said New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn. "From her efforts to defeat the Federal Marriage Amendment to standing up for our rights in employment practices, there is no one else in this race who will fight harder for the LGBT community. She's ready to be our next president and I look forward to organizing the LGBT community on her behalf."

"Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have a huge opportunity to make a difference in this election," said Congresswoman Matsui. "Hillary Clinton has been a consistent champion and friend of the AAPI community. She is ready to be our next president and the AAPI community is ready to support her. I look forward to leading the charge to help make Hillary the candidate of choice for AAPI voters."

"Hillary Clinton received today the endorsement of human rights leader and community activist Dolores Huerta, the co-founder and President Emeritus of the United Farm Workers of America. Huerta will serve as co-chair of the campaign's Hispanic outreach efforts. 'Throughout her life Hillary has been a strong leader, working for issues that make a difference in every family's life, like education, health care and good paying jobs," said Huerta. "I believe she is the best qualified candidate and the one that's ready to put our country back on track.'"

"I have had the privilege of working with Hillary Clinton since 1993, and her depth of experience makes her uniquely qualified to be President," Senator Inouye said. "She has been a tireless advocate for our soldiers and veterans, fighting for life-saving body armor when they deploy, and the healthcare and benefits they deserve when they return home."

Oh, and a rich white guy and a porn star.

“I’ve taken the time to familiarize myself with the impressive field of Democratic candidates and am convinced that Hillary Clinton is the most qualified candidate to lead us from her first day in the White House,” Spielberg said on HillaryHub.com. “Hillary is a strong leader and is respected the world over. As president, she will bring America back together, rebuild our prestige abroad and ensure our protection here at home.”

Jenna Jameson: “The Clinton administration was the best years for the adult industry and I wish that Clinton would run again. I would love to have him back in office. I would love to have Al Gore in office. When Republicans are in office, the problem is, a lot of times they try to put their crosshairs on the adult industry, to make a point.”

Under endorsements on Obama's site, it says "people of faith," "students," "women," and "more coming soon." Other than some religious leaders, there really aren't very many great quotes from important people. I promise, I looked! I think its celebrity cool to endorse him but it won't last.

Are you ready?

Its that time again. I get super excited about upcoming fall fashions. I am ready to retire the gladiator sandals and summer colored frocks for boots (ankle and knee-high), chunky knits and lots and lots of leg wear. As I was reading all the mags this weekend I was getting excited but also a little nervous. The seasons of late have been shapeless and forgiving and this upcoming season is much more body conscious. Time to get back to the gym!

At least Harper's Bazzar is saying that there is still volume-its just more controlled.
