Blogs I Heart: "Up's?!?"

This blog is my new favorite! One of the best things about picking out a nail color is the name. I know it's cheesy, but OPI's Metro Chic and Essie's Turquoise & Caicos make me really happy. Stupid Nail Polish Names is just as awesome. I can't wait to find a terrible name and send it in to be featured on the blog! Hysterical.

Madonna for Forever 21, I mean, Macy's

There are a few things wrong with Madonna's Material Girl line for Macy's.
1. Isn't M supposed to be ahead of the curve? Why does this look so Forever 21?
2. The lace biker shorts. Shudder.
3. Little J is the face of the line.

The postive?
1. Lola is blogging. (Why isn't she the face?)
2. The cowboy shirt and the bags are pretty cute. So are the pants.
3. Everything is under $40 for when it goes out of style next week.

Will you guys be buying clothes from Material Girl? I think it will pretty well. It has to be better than her H&M line. Silk jumpsuits in the clearance rack, anyone?

Swim Fan

There are few things women hate doing more then trying on bathing suits. I feel like I need a spray tan before I get in front of those lights! Scary. I haven't been a fan of the string bikini for a while; it seems so boring and unfashionable! This summer, I'm dying for a suit with a vintage look. What do you think of these?

Now, who's going to take me on vacation?

As Seen on TV

I know a lot of blogs made fun of the Cami Secret but I want it so bad. The You Tube video IS pretty ridiculous but it's sort of like they are speaking to me. Last weekend, I wanted to wear my new maxi dress and it was just a tad too low cut. I literally did everything they do in this stupid video-safety pins and all. I finally settled on another layer in this sweltering heat with my normal cami. This little square of fabric is genius! Has anyone tried it? Do you think it'll work or just look completely ridiculous?

Eclipse LA Premiere!!!

After reading the books, and seeing both of the terrible, while still being amazing, movies and being surrounded by all the hoopla and craziness, I STILL am screaming like a 14 year old over Eclipse. I can't wait for Tuesday! The premiere is in LA tonight and I couldn't wait to see what the group would be wearing. Here are a few and run over to Just Jared or E Online for more updates! (E is live streaming!)

Ashley Greene, left, in Alexis Mabille Couture with Nikki Reed in Marchesa
Maybe I'm in a mood, but I kind of hate them both (the dresses not the girls.) I'm all for shapeless dresses, I don't think it needs to be tight to be sexy, but the color of Ashley's really makes it look like a sheet. Nikki looks pretty enough but I feel like I've seen it before. YAWN.

I don't know who Taylor Lautner is wearing but it looks amazing on him. He's such a classic movie star and dresses like it. Team Jacob!

As much as I love the classic Taylor, Robert Pattinson's Gucci suit is making me SWOON. Love the fit and color. Hating the hair though. Nineties 90210, much?

On a positive note, I'm liking Kristen Stewart more and more. I'm not feeling the same way about her Ellie Saab dress. It's not that it's really strange, it just doesn't seem HER at all. It looks like someone made her wear it and it's hurting her soul every minute.

Anna Lynne McCord and Kellen Lutz are a really pretty couple. And they seem cute, all outdoors-y and stuff. I hope his horrible dye job is for a role, but he wins major points for the beautiful suit. I like Anna Lynne's nude dress and the bronze make-up. It suits her California girl look.

What do you think? Do you like the dresses?

Resort 2011: Part 3

Are you noticing some trends? So far, I'm loving the retro looks (like MJ below) and lots of hats! The biggest theme? The return to ladylike fashion. I love the idea of looking pretty and put together. Gone are the days of shredded jeans and loose tees. Instead, look for an a-line dress cinched with a belt with heels OR flats.

I Heart...Uggs?!

I NEVER thought I'd buy Uggs. Seriously. I thought about buying the boots for 5 minutes in 2001 but I quickly recovered. Well, I was way wrong because Ugg makes a few great styles of shoes. The best part (for me?) They have 5s in every style! AHHHHH! So excited. Can you tell? I got these on Monday. My feet feel amazing, the arches and heels and stuff, but I have major blisters. I ran around a lot in them for 2 days in a row so I think it's just the new shoe thing and they'll get better. I'll let you know. They look cute with everything and have the on-trend clog look while being Summer-y. How great will they look with scrunchy socks when it's cool out? There's also these awesome clogs which I'm getting as soon as I get paid again! Perfect for Fall.

Resort 2011: Part 2

It's the first official day of Summer and boy, does it feel like it! I know I'm in the minority, but I'd much rather be wearing Fall clothes right now. Let's look at some more Resort to get into the Summer mood. Which is your favorite?

Resort 2011: Part 1

Summer and fashion don't always mix. I shudder when I think of leggings as pants, flip flops, distressed cut-offs, way too short everything, and bra straps galore. One should really look to a resort collection for warm weather ideas. We've learned from the 2011 shows that sheer, neon, socks with sandles, sporty looks, and mixed prints are still going strong. Flared pants, cropped tops, and less body-con clothing are a new addition. There are some stand out looks and amazing collections. I picked one of my favorite looks from each show. Here are some:

Donna Karen

DKNY

Elie Tahari

Diane von Furstenberg
