Blah Blah Oscars

Oscar dresses get more and more boring each year with most stars using stylists. Where is Cher? Or Bjork? But it's still fun to look at the pictures.
First, who I LOVE.

Carey Mulligan in Prada
SO. Effing. Cute. Most blogs are hating on it but I'm obsessed. The beading is actually knives and other kitchen utensils which is so fun. And I adore the clunky shoes-not everything has to be super strappy! She's young and can get away with it. Plus, An Education was awesome.

J Lo in Armani Prive
I wasn't sure at first how I felt about this but it majorly grew on me. Maybe it's because I'm not a white dress fan. Just too wedding for me. But this worked. The architecture is fab and she carries it so well.

Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab
The watercolor look of this is beautiful. I love that she is proving that you don't have to be all satin va-va-voom to look super hot.

Gabby Sidibe in Marchesa
The girls of Marcessa can DRESS a woman. I love this dress. It's so flattering on her waist
and the color is gorge. Well done.

Queen Latifa in Badgley Mischka
I would hate this on, say, Cameron Diaz, but I'm loving this pink on Queen. And it fits to perfection.

Diane Kruger in Chanel
I loved this on the runway and I really think she pulls it off. I kind of wish she wore a dark lip though.

Zoe Salana in Givenchy
Seriously, isn't she a former model? No fair. Her skin tone is perfect with this color and I love love the shape on her frame. It's voluminous without swallowing her up.

Vera Farmiga in Marchesa
WOW. PERFECTION. Up in the Air is one of my favorite movies and I was excited to see what the girls from it would wear. Vera didn't dissapoint! Stunning.

Mariah Carey in Valentino
I surprisingly really like this. She looks classy and I love the neckline. I'm just sick of the broach thing. Her legs are killer though.

Nicole Richie in Reem Acra
I have no idea why she's there but I'm loving the look. It's just so HER while still being Oscar appropriate.

Next, the issues.

Miley Cyrus in Jennifer Packham
Oh Miley. She tried so hard and she's almost there. I love the hair and makeup but the top of the dress just doesn't fit her. I don't know if a size bigger would fit it. She's just too tiny for this bodice.

Tina Fey in Zac Posen
Now, Zac is one of my favorite designers but I hate the fit of this. The top is OK but the bottom is all wrong. I don't even like her hair.

Sandra Bullok in Marchesa
Sandra's hair and makeup are stunning. HOW IS HER HAIR THAT SHINY? I feel like she's so cool, she would gab all day and tell you how to get it. I hate to say though, I'm not a fan of the dress. It fits her well, but she gets lost in it. It's probably amazing in person but on film it looked a bit too shiny.

Maggie Gylenhall in Dries Van Noten
I feel like she's always wrinkled. That's all I have to say.

Amanda Seyfried in Armani
I can honestly say, this is the only dress that I HATE. She's way too young for a dress this dramatic and it looks like a body cast. It's dissapointing because her body is bangin' and she's adorable. But not in this.

Katheryn Bigelow in YSL
This was Katherine's night and this dress is just blah. Not terrible, but not great. Maybe it's the color?

Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab
This dress drives me crazy. Hasn't she worn it before? It's SO boring. She's young, cute, and in a movie with George Clooney and she makes me want to take a nap. YAWN.

Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta
I wish I could totally explain why I dislike this. I think it's the color with her hair and skin tone. And the expression on her face. Dislike.

Kate Winslet in YSL
Kate is usually my favorite but this is totally forgettable. And it looks like a pantsuit. Maybe I'd like it better if it was a pantsuit.

Kristen Stewart in Monique Lhullier
Yay! She looks pretty and less miserable! But she needs a necklace. Or earings. Or cool bracelets.

Charlize Theron in Dior
I actually don't hate this. I wish there was no train.

Just a little eye candy. Sigh.

I actually love RDJ in his bow tie and Lanvin sneakers.

Team Jacob!

Scarlett is one lucky girl.

Zac makes me feel 17 again.

Saved the best for last. I LOVE TOM FORD. (It needed to be yelled.)
